Julia Set, a 20-year-old Mayan woman who lives in a small town near San Juan Sacatepéquez, Guatemala, says she sold her baby in August 2003 for 400 Quetzales (about U.S. $52) to a woman introduced to her by a midwife. Her baby and 8 others were found the next month in a Costa Rican house run by an unregistered adoption agency.
